Invitation from the President:

Jee Aayan Nu (welcome),

On behalf of the Sikh community of Melbourne, it is my great pleasure to invite you all to the 38th Australian Sikh Games, to be held in the vibrant city of Melbourne from 3 to 5 April, 2026.

This year, our theme “Milde ā Melbourne” — let’s meet in Melbourne — reflects the warmth, unity and togetherness that define our community. We are especially excited to host the Games at the renowned Parkville Precinct, including the world-class State Netball and Hockey Centre, where athletes, families, and supporters will come together to share an unforgettable sporting and cultural experience.

The Australian Sikh Games continue to provide a unique platform to showcase athletic talent, foster friendships, and honour the spirit of sportsmanship. Whether you’re competing on the field, cheering proudly from the stands, or supporting behind the scenes, your presence enriches this event and strengthens the bonds that unite us.

We encourage participation across all ages in a wide range of sports and cultural activities, celebrating our inherent Sikh values of inclusion, fair competition, and community service (“seva”). The Games are not only about sporting excellence but also about the enduring relationships and shared memories formed among participants and supporters alike.

As we embark on this weekend of spirited competition, connection, and celebration, I invite you all to embrace the camaraderie, enjoy the festivities, and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Milde ā Melbourne — let’s come together in Melbourne for an extraordinary 2026 Australian Sikh Games.

Jagjit Singh Chugha
