Junior Sports Scholarship Program
At the Annual General Meeting held in Adelaide in 2017, the ANSSACC Executive Committee proposed the idea of an annual sports scholarship for one boy and one girl from the community, valued at $1,000 each. The scholarships are intended to recognise and reward young people who have shown significant potential in their chosen sport to date and aspire to progress to the highest level in future. The scholarship can be used to pay for relevant costs including but not limited to: coaching clinics, sporting equipment, sports clothing and footwear, and travel costs to representative games.
This proposal was approved and we are now inviting Member Clubs to submit scholarship applications on behalf of their eligible athletes. Applications can be made by downloading the ANSSACC Sports Scholarship form, filling out the required details, attaching any additional information required, and returning it to the ANSSACC Treasurer (info@anssacc.org) before the deadline of Friday 3 April, 20120. The scholarships will be presented on Sunday 12 April 2020 during the Official Closing Ceremony (time of presentation to be advised).
Eligibility and assessment criteria are outlined in the enclosed information sheet.
We encourage you to put forward applications from your club as this is a great initiative aimed at encouraging the youth within our community and raising the standard of competition at the Australian Sikh Games.
Yours faithfully,
ANSSACC Executive Committee
