Adelaide hosted one the most successful Sikh Games. ANSSACC SA has released a report outlining various aspects of these games. This event was fully supported by community donations, South Australian government, sponsors, volunteers and members of public. Please go through main highlights of these games.

According to Harrison Research company, an estimated 35000 to 40000 people attended the Sikh Games over three days. An esitmated 6950 interstate and overseas visitors attended the games. There were estimated 2117 participants and the economic impact to the SA economy was $6.3 million.

In total there were 2117 Participants. 1684 from Interstate/Overseas and 433 from SA

Netball – 11 teams
Volleyballs – 8 teams
Kabaddi – 10 teams

Golf – 10 entries so far
Badminton – 8 Men's and 6 Women's
Tennis – 15 Players

What next?

Application of Excess Funds

The committee will put $30,000 into a term deposit to be held for the next Adelaide Sikh Games. The organizing committee have decided to allocate $30,000 to assist to grow SA participation in the Sikh Games.
